Squad sheets: Burnley v West Ham United

It is not just a fondness for claret and blue that unites Burnley and West Ham. Neither is in form – no win in 12 league games and one in nine respectively – and both were busy in the final week of the transfer window as they look to stave off relegation. Brian Laws could give debuts to the on-loan Chelsea midfielder Jack Cork and the former Celtic left-back Danny Fox, though the latter faces a fitness test. Gianfranco Zola has a welcome selection dilemma: how and when to deploy his three new strikers, Mido, Ilan and Benni McCarthy. Richard Jolly

Squad sheets: West Ham United v Blackburn Rovers Sat 3pm

West Ham’s confidence that they can avoid relegation is largely based on the fact that many of the bottom-half teams have to visit the Boleyn Ground before the end of the season. The difficulty that Gianfranco Zola’s men have experienced in turning possession into goal since Carlton Cole’s injury. That means Sam Allardyce will also approach this game with optimism. Eight goals in their last three games notwithstanding, Blackburn’s attack has also been generally blunt meaning a low-scoring draw looks the most likely result. Paul Doyle

Squad sheets: West Ham United v Everton

West Ham face a nemesis in somewhat brighter mood. The Londoners have a poor recent home record against Everton but Wednesday’s late victory over Aston Villa will give them hope of ending the run. A major concern, however, is the loss of top-scorer Carlton Cole, who has a hamstring strain, but Everton have injury concerns of their own and come into this fixture on the back of a particularly poor run – David Moyes’s men have not won any of their past seven fixtures in all competitions.
